I am using the ubiquitous Shure SM7B, with an Audient ID4 Mk ii. It works, it works quite well. But with a Coda Stealth in the line, it works a lot better.
28 dB of CLEAN boost works wonders for the sound quality. It blends in with the mic and the Rode PSA1 . So to be honest, there is no “Song and dance” about “Look at my pre amp”. It’s not huge, it’s not Red, it’s not the centre of focus of the whole studio. It’s just a very good piece of kit. Which enables me to use significantly less gain on my ID4, and I have a ton of head room to play with if necessary. All round, an excellent piece of kit.
The down side is… well… I’ve not found one yet…
It all sounds a bit like this…..

Stop reading, just get one, you won’t regret it..
The guys at Coda have a very swift, excellent customer service, and it took less than 3 days to get across the pond. So nothing Snail about this mail.
I'd been using a Cloudlifter CL-2 for several years, and it worked well with an MXL ribbon mic and an EV RE320, but a Cascade Victor mic didn't give me a satisfactory sound -- it was quite "fuzzy". I just got the Stealth as a Christmas gift and tried the Cascade on it, and am very pleased with the result: No "fuzz"! Many thanks for your superior product.
The Coda Music Technologies STEALTH Mic Booster is a unique product. We've tested the Stealth extensively here at the studio and found its claims of high quality, clean gain in excess of 28dB to be quite accurate. It was also tested to have less than a dB of operational self noise for that rated gain amount. This is impressive and allows ALL of that rated gain to be used in even the most critical audio production environments.
The Stealth is built extremely, well with great attention paid to the style and appearance of the booster. This will be perfectly suited for live streams and 'On Air' broadcasts that need professional quality gain as well as a high end esthetic appeal.
We have done a complete review on this surprisingly capable Mic preamp that can be found on our Studio's YouTube page: https://youtu.be/5pcuKnf5kLU

The MB-Stealth Exceeds Expectations. It not only delivers more than enough clean gain for my SM7B without the need of extra xls cables, but it is also nicely designed and doesn’t stick out. Blends in perfectly to my podcast setup.
